Buy recommendations Adler AD500A
Seems they’re selling out stock, so I’m just wondering if anyone has any feedback or reviews on them so far. They seem like great bang for the buck! Really don’t want to get killed on another 3k rifle 🤣

Everyone mindlessly dog piling this rifle without trying it because of its origin, yet every second post is a TM22 is certainly something.

And every other TM22 post is "why did my gun break".

Mine has been absolutely amazing Pulled it out of the box. Disassembled it and gave it a good cleaning . Lubed up with G96 I have shot an easy 1000 rnds no problems. It shoots any ammo I feed it . Such a fun rifle

Hearing good things about the 308 but these new ones are in 223 and I’m wondering if it’s really any different

The price is right. Not much more than an SKS. Looks kinda cool by Canadian standards.

I would trust this about as much as a Backland Hunter, but it's about half the price of a Backland Hunter. So make of that risk what you will.

To be fair crusader has stepped up their customer service big time( that or im doing a really good job of bullying them for my customers, though to be honest ive done no bullying lol)

Thanks for the point about warranty. I did consider mentioning their previous reputation for not answering, but it sounds like it might have changed. Or at least they're better at working with retailers now.
I don't doubt that they're working hard to get over their reputation, but that reputation is a massive hurdle to overcome. It also doesn't help, imo, that they're charging the same money as a Carmel or Makasi for something which is likely a tier below. I don't know whether or not they have a choice, but it's definitely not a good price point at the moment.

Theyre actually the cheapest of the bunch, not by much, but by enough for an optic (2200->2400 mk 15->2500 iwi carmel).
While the Carmel is undoubtably the best of the 3, the verdict is still out on the MK15 (and i say this as a guy who is selling all 3) as we have seen some reports of poor fit/finish on here about the mk15.
Im also wondering if we will see the Carmel's on time just due to the wonderful state of shipping right now over seas.
That being said, yes even when i first started as a retailer 3 years ago i got ghosted by them. It took alot of messaging on their end to get me to bring the first one in and I spent a good long amount of time on the phone with them asking all the important questions. Of course only time will tell, but they do seem to be moving in the right direction.

Loool heard bad bad things about the backland hoping this isn’t that 🤣

Eh the new comp actually runs not bad, so long as you dont play with the gas. A customer wanted me to mag dump it for him a few times before shipping it out to him and i had it running fine out of the box.
Plus crusaders really pushing that lifetime warranty they pay both ways thing now (i even had them on the phone at 12 am ontario time to help a customer recently which im ngl impressed me)

This comment had me looking up your business. Pretty dope customer support on your part

We do our best for our customers. We also ship same day 99% of the time (if the order comes before ups/puro/the post office/ we are closed) if not its next day.

Wouldn’t doubt their warranty is great. Not really looking for something that I will have to make endless warranty claims on to get it to run right, obviously only in the event I get the bad apple of the batch and with my luck very likely lmao. I go out to shoot maybe 5-6 times a month and want something that’s not a kill on price and not much of a headache when I take it out. Kinda like a car, don’t want it always in the dealer for recall work every month when new.

For sure. From what ive read online/what Corie at crusader has told me, if it does go in its only ever once and its usually cause the gas gets touched when its disassembled. I guess some guys try to tune it like they would an AR but its running a benelli style gas system

I held one at fishing world. I quickly put it back down…. I too felt the need to buy…. Until that moment

u/Minute_Act_3457 Jul 31 '26
What was it that turned you away?

u/meowmixonroids Jul 31 '26
Looked and felt cheap. The action felt weird and it sat on the shoulder like a shotgun

u/Big-Guitar-1979 Jul 30 '26
3000??

u/Minute_Act_3457 Jul 30 '26
Dude I payed crazy for the last two semis, one in 9mm and 556 and learned my lesson. I can take a 1000 hit much better then 2.5-3k hit one shot at this point 🤣

u/dgod40 Jul 30 '26
For the makasi or carmel
9
u/Minute_Act_3457 Jul 30 '26
I lost about 5k way before those were even announced unfortunately. Not looking at big tickets anymore till there’s a little more certainty behind them.
3
u/dgod40 Jul 30 '26
I 100% agree. I put a deposit on the makasi but I'm not sure if I'm going to pull the trigger. The store told me I can give up my spot for store credit when they come in. I guess I'll make that decision then.
2
u/hunterofsteelhead Jul 31 '26
Let me have it
2
u/dgod40 Jul 31 '26
Maybe I'll sell it on gumpost for 10 million dollars. I know what I have. 😂. if I don't want it, I'm just going to let it go back into the pool. It's the fairest thing to do.

u/hunterofsteelhead Jul 31 '26
Im just looking to buy em and turn them in thats where the real money is at.

I might buy the 308 version just to put a better stock on my Turkish shotgun. My shotgun has the shitty version of this stock where it’s 3 positions and you twist the stock to move it. This way I get the stock I want which would be $350 and a new gun for $1000 total.

Love the AD500 series. I have the 308 Semi Auto one, its fun to shoot 🫨
2
u/Minute_Act_3457 Jul 31 '26
Any jamming issues or other reliability problems? I’m kind of hoping you might have a bit more firsthand experience with it. Do you think the new ones being chambered in .223 would make any noticeable difference in performance or reliability compared to the .308 versions?
3
u/EscapeChance823 Jul 31 '26
Honestly, it’s a Turkish Benelli . >300 Thru the barrel, had some jamming issue at the very few rounds but running fine after the break ins.
2
u/Minute_Act_3457 Jul 31 '26
That’s honestly great to hear! One last question for you! Do you/can you run 10 round mags out of this rifle similar to the Akdas Alcor?
1

u/Status_Ticket5044 Aug 02 '26
Not unless it's designed strictly for a pistol.
1
u/Minute_Act_3457 Aug 02 '26
Trying to figure out if this new model 223 is able to accept the Pistol Mags similar to the Akdas

I just got an ad500 back from warranty, after 7 months after the barrel failed. That's after I had a cam pin warrantied that snapped. Be prepared to sacrifice 1k + if you get a lemon. Haven't tried my replacement rifle yet. Sure hope it lasts more than 100 rounds like the last one

Broke 2 x .308 ad500. Stuck bolt and blown up barrel.
looking at the photo of the .223, why is the brake sideways?
1
u/suisetal Aug 05 '26
I have mine on order right now, will update in a post after I receive it plus out 500 rounds through it. At just around $1100 it could be shit or it could be great, time will tell

u/Weak_Otaku114 21d ago
I bought one in June and tested for 40 rounds. No issues. But still I wanna try sth new so I am selling it. I give a fair price but none buys it 😢

damn that looks like a great rifle . never even heard of it until now though
2
u/Minute_Act_3457 Jul 30 '26
Good looks have gotten me in trouble with a few chicks in my time. Hoping this rifle isn’t that haha

u/dgod40 Jul 30 '26
It may be the ugliest rifle I've seen in a long time. In terms of crap quality semis the back land looks 100 times better. That being said I've heard better things in terms of quality from this than the backland.
2
u/Minute_Act_3457 Jul 30 '26
I think it’s got potential to look really cool, have a look at the Akdas with the kits they look neat. Really just looking for a centre fire semi at this point that wont cause me any headaches on my days off lmao 🤣
2
u/Conscious_Bid_8762 Jul 31 '26
Get the bar or benelli r1 release it’s a descent company to start with
3
u/dgod40 Jul 30 '26
I feel you. I just wish they didn't t go with that specific stock style. Everything else is workable.
1
u/Minute_Act_3457 Jul 30 '26
I never liked the crazy slant but it’s fkn everywhere on all of them lmao. Hopefully someone comes out with some adapter or something down the line. I haven’t gone and looked at one in person but the pics are tempting tbh.
