Shitpost / Memes Hush Holsters SKS2000

Heads up, guys check your Hush Holsters SKS stock. Mine cracked from the buttstock to the grip after just a few uses and I’m still waiting on my wood replacement.

Well that's a weird comment, if you had money to spend then why would you buy one of the shittiest guns and a crappy stock? Idk it's just mind boggling to me but to each their own āœŒšŸæ

Is it because it looks cool?

I don't care bout the looks though SKS are cool for sure. But you said the shittiest guns and crappy stock, crappy stock that may be but the SKS is the goat, only limited by the internal magazine. Even for the new price of $1k you can't find a better semi auto.

I honestly think it would be a challenge to find another gun that shoots 3-5 moa, that is exceptionally terrible, especially for the ridiculous price point of an SKS at $900. You could buy nearly any bolt action for that price point and have MOA or sub MOA accuracy (literally 3-5x more accurate).

I understand because of the state of the country and our dog shit gun laws you guys try to gravitate towards the cool looking, military style or semi auto guns that are available.

I think one would discover that a great majority of Combloc autoloading firearms would struggle to pattern better than 3moa. And Most Nato counterparts would struggle to pattern better then half that (1.5moa). The more u shoot, the more you will come to acknowledge that if a guns accuracy compliments the maximum ballistics of the cartridge, what's really the benefits behind it being more accurate at that point? Take 7.62x39. Alot of the bullets start to destabilize around 650 yards. And most most would agree that the ethical big game energy range is inside 200yards. 3moa will ring a 24" gong pretty reliably out 650yards. 3moa will boiler room a deer everytime inside 200 yards. If u had a bolt gun in 7.62x39 that shoots 1moa... what would you do differently? Shoot a 10" plate at 650yards.... only to discover that it dont ring nearly as satisfying as the bigger gong anyways lol. You say that ur capable of head shooting a deer inside 200 yards but ultimately your still gonna aim for that 6moa boiler room haha.

I agree with you, although the majority of people with the exception of natives are not hunting with an SKS... So the stopping power, boiler maker shots mean nothing. The majority of people are shooting paper or steel gongs with their SKS are they not?

Agreed, and outside of an AR15, in the autoloading world its decently good at that compared to its competition in terms of accuracy and reliability. The ergonomics of the SKS id argue is where its real shortcomings are.

Why does everyone think the AR15 is some kind of laser out of the box? They're a 3 MOA rifle in GI spec.

Because they generally are. Ive never owned an AR that didnt shoot better then 2moa.
