honestly I like the look of the Backland the most out of the three. too bad it is what it is... If it was available in 7.62x39 I'd probably guinea pig it for the community lol

I've got one, so do a few other guys who've posted. Its a fun gun, mags aren't great (lacks an anti tilt follower), and it is a bit overgassed from the factory, but i know the mags were a compromise to make it legal, and it could be converted to STANAG if you felt inclined to do a bit of dremel work quite easily.

Its like 80% AR, so almost everything except the BCG and buffer system can be swapped to aftermarket if you wanted. It also comes with a lifetime warranty which honestly is pretty sweet. I've exchanged a few emails with Crusader since buying it, and despite the horror stories I've heard, they've been super fast to reply and helpful with a few minor issues and questions. More accurate than I was expecting too, shoots around 2moa with bulk 62gr green tip 5.56

The AR compatible parts - Barrels  Gas blocks, gas tube, and gas key Handguards Triggers  Charging handle  Bolt/firing pin/cam pin Dust cover Safety Mag release

Incompatible parts - bolt carrier, buffer tube/spring, mags and proprietary upper and lower design despite being similar

I would also love to see them offer a 7.62x39 model, or offer caliber conversion kits. Based on a few design choices they took with the rifle and receiver, I do think there may be caliber swap kits coming eventually or just other chamberings from the factory
