Nice with the quick release scope so you can use the irons if need be. Another option is a red dot on med/high rings so you can see irons under neath.

I haven't seen the Savage XP SR until now, but they look really good! I imagine it's an accurate rifle, and any .308 is a great choice to me 👌

Didn't see this until now! They do have a few on gunpost, and some are okay priced. I paid $2100 (after taxes) for mine l, amd see them range from 1800-2500 on there

How do you like the quick release rings u/raider_riley?

They work really well! I had taken off the scope while out shooting, recounted it, and was still able to hit my target at 50 yards, so that was good enough for me. They're built quite well and I believe don't require any lapping, as some other rings do. The levers are also adjustable and can have them off set in different positions (horizontal/vertical), making it easier to remove quickly.
