Quebec 100% and it’s not close.

Jumping in to say that ZECs are terrible. In every other province that would be crown land, in Quebec, nope, we turn it into a ZEC and now you have to pay.

You’re right. Probably sucks a smidge more there.

Been there a few times, the folks were rude to me for not speaking good enough French. Imagine that.

In fact my favorite part about Quebec was when the sign in the highway said welcome to Ontario. 😉

Shit where do i even begin.

Loi 9, NR registry, FQTIR is the fuddiest of them all, home of poly, ZEC, shooting on crownland other than hunting is illegal, most people living here would fall deep on the Liberal side if the Bloc and our separate culture wasnt a thing and to top it all of its french.

Hell Ontario allow you to own restricted without range membership which is a pretty neat thing to do.

Want me to keep going listing why Quebec is a shithole for a gun owner?

Oh you mean for guns my bad. I thought you meant as whole. I still rather live with that and be in Quebec than any other province haha.

You can't get an excemption in Ontario? Has that been established?

You can, it has more steps and a more stringent approval process from what I’ve read/heard.

You can, it’s just more difficult than other provinces. I personally know of 2 people who have gotten theirs here

Ok phew. I'm in the middle of trying now just need a place to compete that will lend me a 22 in the meantime

I’m in the same boat. Member of everything I can be, signed up for upcoming matches (9 hours one way from me) and not sure how I will be able to show proof of competing etc

I've heard take pictures and show your scores. Again not 100% sure on full logistics as I haven't completed it myself

Easily enough I suppose. Even if I had to mail it in, cool. Finding a rentable or borrowing a pistol is the major hurdle I think for most of us.

Absolutely is mine. In fairness it's more of a money thing. I'm already a member of a range that doesn't host competitions and I'd have to join a second one that does so they'd let me borrow their handguns for competing
