Application / Regulation advice What do I do? URGENT

Someone in my household was recently falsely accused of sexual assault. As part of their bail conditions, they are prohibited from possessing firearms, crossbows, and other weapons.

I own three recently prohibited firearms in my collection. Their lawyer has advised that the bail conditions may be considered breached simply because the firearms are in the home. Hopefully, the lawyer can have that condition clarified or amended. If not, I’ll need to transport the firearms to a trusted friend for storage.

What is the process for obtaining an Authorization to Transport (ATT/ATP) for recently prohibited firearms? Is it still possible to get one? I’d rather not participate in the buyback program.

NOT A LAWYER, BUT: If they were previously restricted before prohibition, you will likely need to contact the CFO for a "Alternative Storage Arrangement" at another licensed gun owners house, who had their RPAL. If they were previously NR, you can just show up to a buddy's house (who has their PAL) and have them stored there in the meantime - you don't need to notify the CFO and you can keep it there as long as you like. ASAs last 6 months, but can be renewed.

As per the amnesty, an ST-ATT is not needed for previously restricted, now prohib rifles, and most CFOs will refuse to issue one to a gun where the registration certificate is "nullified" (where the fuck is "nullified" in the Firearms Act??). You could contact your CFO for an ATT anyways, but they'll likely tell you to go away as the amnesty allows you to transport for legal reasons such as relocation, without the need for an ATT.

To add, you can't get an STATT for a prohibited weapon. I know this because when I moved from BC to Ontario I called for one and was told that it can't be issued for my AR. What they did was issue one for my other restricted(pistols) and told me to take them all in one load, properly secured and do the move.

Consult a lawyer first. My recommendation is if you have any other restricted but not prohibited then call for a blanket STATT to move and store them at another location citing your reason. Fun fact: my AR is still listed as being in BC because of the above issue and when I log into the RCMP website I get a warning that one of my firearms is not listed as being at my current address. It's a shit show being staged by the clown college and a logistical quagmire of utter nonsense.
