Buy recommendations K11 or K31?

Looking to buy either a k11 or k31. K31 would be a rack grade and k11 a select grade. Need advice on the following:

Unsure of which one to get, for those who have bought a rack grade and or select grade k11 or k31, please chime in and inform me on quality of bore, finish etc.

Rack grades at CSC are pretty shit. I got one and it was pretty beat up (wood has small cracks, lots of dents, metal is scratched). Its not worth buying honestly.

The K31 is a better gun than the K11 as its sights start at 100 m (K11 sights start at 300m, which kinda sucks). Other than this issue the 2 guns are pretty similar.

If I were you, I will spend an extra 200 dollars and find a nicer K31 on Gun Post

I've been having luck finding cheaper K31s at local gun stores. Maybe give that a shot.

If not, just keep browsign on gunpost and Im sure you'll find something nice

Also fyi, heres a pic of the rifle I recieved from CSC. Description of this rifle is: "Schmidt-Rubin K31 Rack Grade - Matching Numbers: 7.5x55mm, Good Barrel & Stock, 40-80% Metal"

How was the steel? The pitting would be a issue for me and metal finishing within reason

Bore is pitted, but the rifling is strong. Lots of little scratches/ dents/ patina on the exterior metal parts

You can also try Intersurplus, GreatNorthGunco, and Martar as well.

They all have various K31 with different conditions and price accordingly.

For the ammo, I got the S&B at Tenda, 59 dollars for 50 rounds. Or GP11, which is very good but pricy.

825 dollar one, it had a better looking finish on the steel when compared to the more expensive 875 one. They take down the listing immediately when the order is placed

Ah, ok. Because when I check their inventory a month ago, they had 875, 996, and a 1045. So the 825 probably was added recently.

I got mine from Intersurplus last year, but it cost me 1045 instead, lol
