Buy recommendations K11 or K31?

Looking to buy either a k11 or k31. K31 would be a rack grade and k11 a select grade. Need advice on the following:

Unsure of which one to get, for those who have bought a rack grade and or select grade k11 or k31, please chime in and inform me on quality of bore, finish etc.

Thank you!

How was the steel? The pitting would be a issue for me and metal finishing within reason

What about intersurplus? They have a ton on hand

You can also try Intersurplus, GreatNorthGunco, and Martar as well.

They all have various K31 with different conditions and price accordingly.

For the ammo, I got the S&B at Tenda, 59 dollars for 50 rounds. Or GP11, which is very good but pricy.

Awesome! Did you get the 1000 dollar one? that's the best out of 3, haha.

825 dollar one, it had a better looking finish on the steel when compared to the more expensive 875 one. They take down the listing immediately when the order is placed

Ah, ok. Because when I check their inventory a month ago, they had 875, 996, and a 1045. So the 825 probably was added recently.

I got mine from Intersurplus last year, but it cost me 1045 instead, lol

The 11 is an excellent piece of old world machining.

The 31 is objectively the better gun.

I think that if you're exclusively shooting from a bench, and/or already have a bunch of other rifles, then the 11 is what you should select. If you aren't or don't, get a 31.

Guys, don't actually offer to sell these to op. Your reddit account will get banned (sitewide at that). But feel free to provide advice on what OP is asking for, the quality of these rifles etc.

In many ways (shortened action length and redesigned action, more durable metal bolt handle vs bakelite, barrel quality, magazine fitment and finish quality, etc) the K31s are objectively better guns, however the K11 (or the G11s for that matter) have that early 20th century/WW1 charm to it. The Swiss designed the K31 out to be as accurate as the longer G11s, so there's also that. But in anycase, especially with how cheap 7.5x55 Swiss commericial ammo are right now, they will be a great addtion to anyone's collection for sure! Can't go wrong either way.
