Misc American here with a few questions

I'm not trying to gloat or anything like that, just genuinely curious about Canadians and how they're feeling about guns, gun rights, and gun purchases. You guys were clearly given the shaft when it comes to guns.

Question 1: I see a lot of comments here passing up on $900 SKS's or Carmel's because they're a ripoff. Why not spend a little extra to get your hands on a semi-automatic rifle since the vast majority of them are banned? I feel like I would if I were in your shoes. 22's are just cope imo.

Question 2: how sacred are guns to the average user here?

Question 3: how is morale? Do you guys have hope for the future? If a conservative PM wins, do you think he'll unban a lot of shit?

There’s a limit somewhere as to how much I’m willing to spend on something I’m likely to be unable to use vs putting that money elsewhere. That line is in a different place for all of us. Personally I have an uncomfortable amount tied up already.

To answer your other two questions at once, I have nothing but open contempt for this country and would leave immediately given an opportunity and torch any proof of citizenship on the way out. After the last election I went from believing the country was worth saving to believing there’s a greater value in the cosmic justice of letting this nation of idiots suffer all the worst consequences of their braindead politics and priorities.

My only hope is getting out entirely. I'm working on it. It's a difficult and uncertain path and may be setbacks. But I won't give up and as God is my witness, I'm not living to the end of my life still stuck in this retard country.
