Misc American here with a few questions

I'm not trying to gloat or anything like that, just genuinely curious about Canadians and how they're feeling about guns, gun rights, and gun purchases. You guys were clearly given the shaft when it comes to guns.

Question 1: I see a lot of comments here passing up on $900 SKS's or Carmel's because they're a ripoff. Why not spend a little extra to get your hands on a semi-automatic rifle since the vast majority of them are banned? I feel like I would if I were in your shoes. 22's are just cope imo.

Question 2: how sacred are guns to the average user here?

Question 3: how is morale? Do you guys have hope for the future? If a conservative PM wins, do you think he'll unban a lot of shit?

I'm probably going to get some flak.

I didn't make guns part of my identity. So, I don't really care either way and I have some expensive guns.

20 years ago, the current government would have been considered Conservative. The political spectrum has shifted so far to the right it would make old leaders cringe. The current iteration of the Conservative party is in such a mess. The reform conservatives are the crazy ones and they're currently driving the bus. I lean progressive conservative and it's shocking the things that's coming out of the CPC.

The crazies were the ones flying Canada flags around during covid and now want nothing to do with Canada since the 51st state thing came up.

Name these “shocking“ things you speak of. There is nothing by any objective measure coming from the CPC that is shocking. Shockingly boring maybe.

I don’t know how Canada came to be filled with so many alternate reality bubble people like yourself but I’m constantly amazed when I interact with one of you.

But I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise. You and most other Canadians are utter morons. Our telcos once convinced people like you that having US competition enter the telco market would be bad for Canadians, and you guys believed it. The party that spent 10 years looting Canada and crushing its most profitable industry just convinced you to give them more power and you happily obliged. Put simply, your judgment and your opinions are less than worthless, now go get those elbows up for papa Carney and worship his credentials some more like a good little Canadian.

All I mentioned was not making guns my identity and people ditching the flag. The shocker is the amount of infighting, disrespect and the Americanisation of our right wing. You're assuming things I didn't even say and you're proving my point about the infighting.

Not wanting to be ruled by the Liberal party in perpetuity is not "Americanization" you small-minded child. Get Carney's elbow out of your ass.
