Misc American here with a few questions

I'm not trying to gloat or anything like that, just genuinely curious about Canadians and how they're feeling about guns, gun rights, and gun purchases. You guys were clearly given the shaft when it comes to guns.

Question 1: I see a lot of comments here passing up on $900 SKS's or Carmel's because they're a ripoff. Why not spend a little extra to get your hands on a semi-automatic rifle since the vast majority of them are banned? I feel like I would if I were in your shoes. 22's are just cope imo.

Question 2: how sacred are guns to the average user here?

Question 3: how is morale? Do you guys have hope for the future? If a conservative PM wins, do you think he'll unban a lot of shit?

1 - For me I never bought a SKS when they were 50 bucks because it just didn't appeal to me. And now that they are 900 they still don't.. Especially after owning new Swiss guns that make everything look bad.

2 - I love my guns , my first gun is on the banned list and that is extremely sentimental to me. I spent much of my life dedicated to music and getting into guns was probably my first major hobby and probably my favorite.

3 - Moral = completely shot. Enough that I can't sleep sometimes and stay up thinking about it. I have debated un following this sub too many times, because I don't even want to participate in the hobby anymore. The only reason I haven't is because of the like minded community that are in the same position. But the amount of Liberal Glazers is frustrating. Glazing the same government that banned their guns , made housing unaffordable and is actively censoring them. And the only posts now are of cope guns.

The worst part is I was having some success documenting my collection and the gun bans completely ruined that. I now have 3 legal guns and I really don't even wanna shoot them because I only wanna shoot the bamned ones.

I got into Simracing because the only thing I like more then guns is cars and driving fsst. Been a good outlet to forget about the gun bans.

The irony of thinking guns are an expensive Hobby lol

Simracing is a never ending money pit depending on how far you take it. Buy once cry once is almost impossible. Lol
