Buy recommendations Is it a good starter setup?
So after my recent post, i choose to start with a .22lr rifle for shooting range(100-300yards),it my first gun ever and i want to know guys if this setup it decent? My total budget is lil bit under 2k$ cad. Thanks you
( i have difficulty to choose the scope,too much specs to look)

Honestly I would suggest you spend a few extra hundred and pick up a bagara b14r. Over the Ruger precision rimfire. It will leave you a lot more room to upgrade. I started out with the precision rimfire to get into the rimfire sport. and quickly started to outshoot it. The b14r is built off a rem 700 action. So basically all REM 700 aftermarket chassis like such from MDT fit it. Or even a CZ457 or tikka T1x
Also for the bipod I would suggest the MDT ground pod. It's $280 verse $180. But IMO is a much nicer bipod. And you can get it in ARCA
As for ammo. Every rimfire rifle is different. What you're going to have to do is buy a bunch of the higher end 22LR ammos and just group them all to see which one groups better in your specific gun. Also the cheapest ammo why would shoot out of a bolt rimfire is CCI standard(good for practice). Once you find what brand your gun likes then you can start experimenting with ammo batches
Lastly whatever scope you land on get one in MRAD not MOA. Practically everybody is running MRAD now. So it will be a lot easier to exchange dope
