Recurring Canadaguns Politics and Debate Thread

Please post all your Gun Politics or Ban-related ideas, questions, initiatives, comments, suggestions, news articles, and recommendations in this thread. This thread recurs every 14 days.

First and foremost, this is a Canadian Gun subreddit, so keep it at least decently related to both of those things.

This thread is not for general politics, there are plenty other subs that are meant for that. Off-topic threads may be removed, especially if they are leading to personal attacks, flame wars, etc.

To prevent the main sub being flooded with dozens of similar threads, text posts complaining about/asking about/chatting about gun politics will be sent here.

We understand that politics is a touchy subject, and at times things can get heated. A reminder of the subreddit rules, when commenting, where subreddit users are expected to abide.

Keep this Canadian gun politics related and polite. Off-topic stuff, flame wars, negative generalizations against groups, personal attacks and gate-keeping will be removed. Please flag any comments to bring to the attention of mods otherwise exercise your upvoting and downvoting ability.

Gotta gove credit where credits due: he didnt try to use his position/power to try to keep it. It appears hes following the rules that are imposed on us commons

He's so rich and powerful he can have armed guards everywhere he goes. He lives in a world of special exemptions and just doesn't care for guns.

It would be like gifting me with super hero memorabilia, i wouldn't care for it beyond the monetary value. Carney is rich enough that a gun doesn't have any meaningful value to him, so he gets rid of it.

Or money. Because I guess Brinks Trucks deserve more protection then we the people do.

Yep, a small bag of cash gets protected with a gun... But not a law abiding, rcmp vetted citizen.

I saw a post once on this one Canadian server asking why money gets more rights then people? It got downvoted heavily and largely it was “But but carrying the money makes you at greater risk!” It was the dumbest arguments I have quite frankly ever heard.

I'm sure brinks cares about the drivers well being and not the cash on hand or job they're hired to do....right??

MP's should not be allowed armed security, to live in gated communities and their kids should not be allowed to attend private school...

Imagine the policies we would see. 

Absolute insanity.

Yep. I ask people why are politicians lives more valuable then everyone else’s? The answers I get are hilariously bad copes.
