Gun and gear reviews What’s going on with Gunpost prices?

What makes people post their used guns for above new prices? I’m looking for a 10/22 brand new they’re about $419.99 in my area, but every post I’m seeing is like $500-$1000. Why would anyone pay more for a used gun? I’m not even talking about modified ones, or optics or anything. Just a standard wood stocked ruger 10/22 for like $800.

I bet it's those poor husbands whose wives are forcing them to sell their guns: " look honey! I've been trying to sell it for months but it's a tough market!"

This is the only valid reasoning I think.

ive seen this comment a lot here over the years but i dont think anyone is actually doing that. people just over inflate the value of their guns. or maybe if im being generous its that they plan to haggle down

Buyers and sellers should meet at a mid-price. Market make it with negotiation. Sometimes you have to slap the ask.
