What’s going on with Gunpost prices?

What makes people post their used guns for above new prices? I’m looking for a 10/22 brand new they’re about $419.99 in my area, but every post I’m seeing is like $500-$1000. Why would anyone pay more for a used gun? I’m not even talking about modified ones, or optics or anything. Just a standard wood stocked ruger 10/22 for like $800.

Real question is why haven’t you bought it for 419 locally instead. People prob asking for more due to upgraded parts or different materials . The one for 419 is pretty basic fyi

I’m definitely going to, but thought it best to do my due diligence to find out if I could find a used one cheaper.
