Gun and gear reviews What’s going on with Gunpost prices?

What makes people post their used guns for above new prices? I’m looking for a 10/22 brand new they’re about $419.99 in my area, but every post I’m seeing is like $500-$1000. Why would anyone pay more for a used gun? I’m not even talking about modified ones, or optics or anything. Just a standard wood stocked ruger 10/22 for like $800.

I doesn't matter what you're trying to buy used in this country, everyone is a kook and tries to sell any old random shit for at or over MSRP.

Ironically the only deals I’ve found are on old shit, sporter lee-enfields, old .22s and shotguns from the 70s and earlier are still relatively cheap (often better than in stores).
