Gun and gear reviews What’s going on with Gunpost prices?

What makes people post their used guns for above new prices? I’m looking for a 10/22 brand new they’re about $419.99 in my area, but every post I’m seeing is like $500-$1000. Why would anyone pay more for a used gun? I’m not even talking about modified ones, or optics or anything. Just a standard wood stocked ruger 10/22 for like $800.

I have nothing to support this, but my theory is that people are buying them at the inflated prices to avoid having any paper trail that shows they made the purchase. They're willing to pay a premium if it avoids a gun store having the transaction on record if the government decides to continue to expand the bans in the future.

I wouldn’t be surprised had some guy asking to skip the check for an extra 100 told him to kick rocks

then again only a few years ago all you did was tell them your pal number or send a pic of it. there was never any issue selling and people trying to use stolen pals where easy to spot. canada hasnt magically become safe because i need to enter your personal info into a slow glitchy website.

if this was america no one would be bothering with the added pal check and tell the gov to kick rocks.
