Gun and gear reviews What’s going on with Gunpost prices?

What makes people post their used guns for above new prices? I’m looking for a 10/22 brand new they’re about $419.99 in my area, but every post I’m seeing is like $500-$1000. Why would anyone pay more for a used gun? I’m not even talking about modified ones, or optics or anything. Just a standard wood stocked ruger 10/22 for like $800.

I put 3 like new safe pieces up at 15-30% off new and get hammered with offers at 35-50% of new. I'd rather just keep stacking things than sell a $2k rifle with a box of ammo through it for sub $1000. Townpost seems to have less of this. And CGN is in the middle for me. I hardly use GP and I think I'm starting to remember why. Maybe Im the one out to lunch. Could very well be.

I suppose it depends on if you are using the price you paid or the price they go for now!

30% off what they go for now, for a basically new gun? I think that's a pretty good deal. 

But if you bought it at 1000, and now they sell for 800, or go on sale for 700... suddenly the price don't look so  good.

Then again,  some people just like to fish with those low offers. Never know when a seller is desperate enough to take it
