Buy recommendations LPVO opinions

Debating between an Alex homebrew LPVO (love the cost and the fact it comes with rings- no warranty and isn’t tall enough to fit over flip down irons)
Or a vortex venom/crossfire 2 (like the warranty - don’t love the cost + rings)

It’s going on a tm22 however that’s not to say I wouldn’t want to throw it on a .308 or .30-06 for some range days (in the future)

I cant imagine the guy would of made an lpvo only for .22s, but 1 - 4 might be a bit low power to make use of the full capability of .308 and .30-06, id maybe lean towards something a bit more along the lines of a 1 - 8 range so you can stretch it out a bit easier.

i feel like 4x isn't enough on a 223, and I'll be moving my homebrew to a 1022 and getting a 1-6 or 2-8 for the 223

Yeah thats what most of us are saying. 1 -4 is fine on a .22 but anything more than that needs better magnification to really get the most out of the optic/rifle.
