Misc Does this look normal
Just bought a new pump and went to clean it. Never had a pump before, is this a Crack or is this how its manufactured? Basically is there any worry in shooting this gun as I was planning to go out tomorrow lol.

Zero safety concern, it is the extractor groove. The locking is done on the barrel extension , you’ll see a ledge machined in if you take a look closely. All you’re seeing is a very mild misalignment between the extractor on the bolt and the groove for it. Usually extractors are hardened steel so it will either wear its way in with use or might be a bit hard on the extractor but if it’s able to get the shell out after firing your gold. Me personally I’d just take a small file to that burr and knock the edge off and get it flush. Just my 2 cents

small imperfections in the metal is usually not to be worked about. However judging from where it’s located i’d make sure it doesn’t effect the proper locking in of the barrel.
