I would ask them if that includes disarming the government. Because if it doesn’t then that logical pattern is not consistent.

But then they have to consider foreign involvement (raids, terrorists or infiltration). Even if all guns left your country what is stopping Joe Blow from Michigan running across the border to mess you up?

Exactly so don't even try controlling these things and focus on the root of the problem which is mental health and money problems.
