I could not share or comment on the original post. So here is the original post

There are two reasons the firearms were removed from the RCMP museum.

  1. The current CEO is anti firearms and will not let any resemblance of firearms or anything about them in anything they offer.

  2. They were too cheap to replace the glass and so based on current conservatory rules and law they can’t be placed in there anymore. TBH this display was the best part of the museum.

I doubt either of these is the reason. Like others have said there are plenty other Parks Canada and government of Canada museums that have deactivated firearms. The original post was as much of a joke / Jab at Liberal patheticness than a serious question.

They have these things because they updated their displays to meet regulations. This organization can’t be bothered to do so.
