I could not share or comment on the original post. So here is the original post

There are two reasons the firearms were removed from the RCMP museum.

  1. The current CEO is anti firearms and will not let any resemblance of firearms or anything about them in anything they offer.

  2. They were too cheap to replace the glass and so based on current conservatory rules and law they can’t be placed in there anymore. TBH this display was the best part of the museum.

In the Plains of Abraham museum there is an interactive exhibit where you get to heft muskets and swords. I assume the firearms in that one are non-firing reproductions - it's pretty cool.
