I still don't think the Liberals will issue additional OICs given the current supreme court stuff.

Not to mention they can't really touch the SKS because it's used heavily by the first Nations.

Not that is any guarantee and don't get me wrong, it's a tragic event but we need more details

I think the government certainly cares about the bad PR.

There's a reason they have carve out name exemptions for certain rifles to be used by FNs. Whether they care or not (I lean towards the government not giving a damn), they still gotta create the optics.

The Liberals thrive on maintaining their good guy image. Trudeau and his party literally rushed out another OIC so they could get invited to a Montreal photo op with Poly.

The optics of the government stripping away the ability to hunt and subsist from FNs would be crushing because the government thrives off those feel good plays.
