I don’t think anyone is defending it, they are simply saying that a police officer with a handgun being shot at by someone with a rifle is inherently outgunned. And spoiler alert: we don’t train our police to be these amazing gunfighters both because of cost or political reasons.

And this was not SWAT, this was some poor patrol officer so your comment about swat is even more dumb.

Buddy, she shoots an unarmed civilian in the head during an active shooter scenario. People are legit commenting “she’s not at fault” or “it’s the guys fault, he should know better” or my favourite “I’d be surprised if she didn’t shoot him”

There’s no excuses, none, it’s a failure of training if it’s individual or police station level. If this was a school shooting there are kids and teachers that literally pop around a corner in a split second while the shooter could also be one of the kids. The officer is not given leeway to pop a kid

I’m not disagreeing and perhaps I saw different comments than you. But buddy: yoyr “sO wHeN sWaT kIcKs….” Comment was so fucking dumb and unnecessary. Not even close to the same thing.

It’s dumb because no one is trying to turn this into somehow justifying shooting unarmed people except you.

Read the comments I literally saw people say “I’d be surprised if she didn’t shoot him” and “well he snuck up on her so it’s not her fault”
