What is 'combat' training exactly?

She did exactly as she was trained to. She got scared and responded immediately with lethal force. That's the combat training cops get.

It's utterly irresponsible as a gun owner to not acknowledge that this is what the training is for. You don't exactly drill your draw, acquire, and shoot if your plan is to take a breather and calmly evaluate the situation.

Your comment on what to vs not to drill is really dumb. You absolutely do drill the fundamentals of draw acquire target shoot. You ALSO absolutely drill fundamentals if decision making re: is this an appropriate time for lethal force?, and is this an appropriate target for lethal force?. These can coexist.

Whether or not our average idiot (police or not) is thinking these things is a different topic.
