I still don't think the Liberals will issue additional OICs given the current supreme court stuff.

Not to mention they can't really touch the SKS because it's used heavily by the first Nations.

Not that is any guarantee and don't get me wrong, it's a tragic event but we need more details

They don't need an OIC. They have a majority now. They can legislate a ban essentially without resistance.

Yes that's true but I actually think if they did that it would hurt their case.

Let's assume they use the same justification as before (weapons of war that are too dangerous). It would only blow a hole in their OIC usages now that they have to actually run it through the house as a bill.

To be clear. That could very well happen post SCC ruling anyways but only time will tell.
