Misc Potential for collective action regarding ATRS?
Those of us who paid ATRS in full for a product, yet never received any material goods or were issued a refund, would anyone be interested in a potential collective legal action?
It sucks they've shut their doors, but not refunding us is shady af and I will be discussing our options with a lawyer come Monday.

This is why you don't pre-order stuff. This is not just for gun stuff.

Probably a bad idea to pre-order and pay all the money upfront you mean. Don't think it's an issue if you put a small deposit, suppose to protect both sides.

Def a kick but OP is wrong in that this is shady. It sucks but it’s how bankruptcies work. OP is now a creditor with a claim on what’s left of ATRS.

IANAL but there’s something called judgement proof. They don’t have any assets at this point for you to collect from.
Can you do a CC chargeback?

That's probably the best option when something like that happens, let the CC handle it, that's why they charge commission.

You would be at the end of a long list of creditors. After legal fees you would end up with less than nothing this late in the game.

OP didn't say he pre-ordered an ATRS MS receiver. ATRS only went bankrupt like 2 months ago. OP could've paid for some bolt action rifle this year and gotten screwed.

If the company is defunct I’m not sure who’d you collect against even if you got a judgment. You can sue them over $2,000 or whatever but it's going to be like trying to get blood from a stone. Won't be worth the legal fees even if you could recover.
