Grandfathering would be ultimate last trap if they can't implement new legislation with their majority.

Reminder, it won't be with use AND registration leads to confiscation.

I don't think grandfathering would be reasonable either, because it runs into the same problem. How do you know if your "variant" is eligible to be grandfathered firearm or not?
