Here are some more (mostly)12(X) photos, based on the largely positive response from the other day. This batch are the classic "Battle Rifles", developed during the 1950s and 60s for the Cold War era. Many continue to soldier on in remote battlefields worldwide to the present day. The Stg 57/SG 510 looks a bit different than what I've seen around with the wood furniture. Could you elaborate a bit on that one?

It is the "American Match-Target" or "AMT" model, developed specifically for the US Sporting market. They basically ground off the Rifle Grenade Ribs on the exposed exterior of the Barrel and swapped out the military Black Rubber Furniture for some fancy French Walnut. This was done to make the SIG rifle more appealing to the mainstream sporting market in the US in the face of the Assault Weapons Ban of 1994 and other anti-gun measures.
