As a public servant myself, I can tell you that the days of fearless advice and loyal implementation died many many years ago, regardless of portfolio. Public servants get promoted by telling their bosses what the boss wants to hear. I’ve personally been told to “just go get new numbers then” when the impartially collected and analyzed data didn’t support the direction our leaders wanted to take 🤷‍♂️

The system is broken.

Anyone who proclaims that they care about climate change and the environment MUST support remote work, not RTO. It impossible to support both and not be a hypocrite or a liar
