Judging by the behaviour of just about every LPC government. No, I dont think that the economy matters to them.

They have added fuel to the fire of this spat with trump at every opportunity if it buys them votes and furthers their agenda so no I don't think they give a shit about economic impacts of ideologically driven policy.

That’s one thing I never understood. Like guns are expensive and people buying them (and ammo) will rake in a bunch of money just off sales tax alone let alone other expenses like land for ranges

I figured a man with a literal doctorate in economics could put that 2 and 2 together
