The article was by design. Its to gain public support because the amnesty got extended. Its intentionally misleading. If you can only trace 100 guns but omit you had 900 you couldn't, then most 'traced' guns are domestic. No mention of the 900 you couldn't. So 90% of guns traced is domestic when in reality it could be less than 10% if you take into account 900. But that doesn't send the right message the government wants.

Also helps when you omit the fact 98 of that 100 were BB guns, paintball guns and water pistols...
