Recurring Canadaguns Politics and Debate Thread

Please post all your Gun Politics or Ban-related ideas, questions, initiatives, comments, suggestions, news articles, and recommendations in this thread. This thread recurs every 14 days.

First and foremost, this is a Canadian Gun subreddit, so keep it at least decently related to both of those things.

This thread is not for general politics, there are plenty other subs that are meant for that. Off-topic threads may be removed, especially if they are leading to personal attacks, flame wars, etc.

To prevent the main sub being flooded with dozens of similar threads, text posts complaining about/asking about/chatting about gun politics will be sent here.

We understand that politics is a touchy subject, and at times things can get heated. A reminder of the subreddit rules, when commenting, where subreddit users are expected to abide.

Keep this Canadian gun politics related and polite. Off-topic stuff, flame wars, negative generalizations against groups, personal attacks and gate-keeping will be removed. Please flag any comments to bring to the attention of mods otherwise exercise your upvoting and downvoting ability.

Yes and it makes me cry 🥲

They get the fun selection the non highway robbery priced guns (and most items for that matter besides uh medication)

I must say (I understand Americans have different costs to us like crippling student loan debt and Healthcare) but the fact they are complaining about being unable to afford on their 70kusd a year (like what 110k for us?) While having way lower food costs etc than us makes me want to crash out.

Id kill to make 70k usd a year, fuck man id kill to make 70KCAD a year, fuck me even 60kcad a year would solve most of my issues.

I got banned by Reddit mods for some innocuous schizoid posting after I posted this. 

But it was mostly the selection. Actually made me so sad I just left. Didn’t even bring me joy

Welcome back you've come back at the perfect schizoranting time. 

And yeah I figured seeing what you could get if your government wasnt the way it was would just destroy your spirits. Seeing American videos comparing "duh 500 dollar AR to 1500 dollar AR" feels like being a P.O.W hearing the guards complain about how their food doesnt have enough seasoning on it while you got rotten porridge for the nth time.

Facts man. Going to the US is just blackpilling in general. 

Cars are all in good condition from no salt 

Young people have homes and families 

Nephew bonked his head real bad, had to go to emerge, was in and out in 1.5 hours-seen immediately, and my brother only got a $50 bill ok the mail 

Guns. People shooting on their property everywhere

People are actually fucking friendly and outgoing- the complete opposite of Canada. Don’t understand at all how we have rep for being nice. I can’t even remember the last time a stranger talked to me lol. I’ve had more interaction with strangers during my short visit here than the last 10 years in Canada. 

Canada is actually such a fucking shithole it’s insane

At least Canadian gun shops can load up the shelves with Mk15s, Carmels and Backland Hunter Comps soon, and sort of look like a US shop? Slightly? Maybe? 

I'm still for once feeling ever so slightly excited about gun ownership in this country with the court case and new options coming in.

But yeah, I've got family in the US and man, it makes me jealous. If I can be trusted with a bolt rifle or semi 12ga, I am easily responsible enough to own an AR, AK or handgun.
