News / Politics / Activism Busniess assault style compensation program nightmare.

Story time everyone

So I work for a firearms Busniess is ontario.

Today i tried to submit some of the firearms that are currently prohibited under this ridiculous farce of a program.

Not only does the website not work. When I tried calling the person on the phone was no help what so ever.

The website won't let me start a claim and when I go to add the busniess info. The system just keeps on error in put saying that there is missing info.

Finally got annoyed and tried calling into the program for assistance. The person on the phone gave me the run around for 20mins. Asking me the same question repeatedly then placed me on hold. Told her that I am representing the company and kept asking for the owner to verify info. Informed her that I can provide her any information that she may need and still insisted she needs the owner on the phone.

How does this program expect anyone to cooperate baffles me when they make it nearly impossible to use.

Thank god I didnt participate in the individual buy back.

It doesn’t seem crazy to me that they need to speak with the business owner over an employee for something like this.

It does to me. This is something that employees are perfectly capable of doing. A business owner doesn't need to waste their time on it

And how would the program representative verify they were speaking to the owner anyhow?

Exactly. “Oh, you need to speak with the owner? Hold on a sec. Herro, this is the owner” 🤣
