The pay is pretty decent too ~$100k a year
17 u/AreaOk6647 Jun 03 '26 100k a year in 202X isn't decent 1 u/nmahajan142 Jun 03 '26 Yeah that’s not decent at all, I make over that and I’m a fucking idiot…. 3 u/Acceptable_Visit_115 Jun 03 '26 I'd like to make anywhere remotely close to 100k. It seems like STEM degrees are worth less than the paper they are printed on these days. 2 u/PteSoupSandwich The 10/22 Dude Jun 03 '26 I make $6343/month, net income, and every year my wages are increased/indexed according to the the Consumer Price Index. No STEM degree 3 u/Acceptable_Visit_115 Jun 03 '26 Isn't that nice? I now fly a desk and push pencils and make 4k/mo net by doing something completely unrelated to my degree. Last time I worked in a related field I made 2500/mo net if not less, with no pay increase. 3 u/PteSoupSandwich The 10/22 Dude Jun 03 '26 I joined the CF and ended up a disabled veteran lol 4 u/Acceptable_Visit_115 Jun 03 '26 That's certainly one way to do it. Thank you for your service!
