Good buy

It's not a good buy. I know everybody is going to think I'm just pissing in their cornflakes, but this thing is going to be banned, likely overnight, before the year is out. Unless you missed every semi-auto before this one and you intend to unlawfully possess it, this is just burning money.

By the time we eventually reverse the OIC bans, there will be better options.

Dude, the OIC isn't gonna be reversed, C-21 isnt getting scraped and grandfathering isnt happening. Get any semi while you can

Not under this government, but give it time. We had to wait more than a decade to scrap the long gun registry, but we got there eventually.

Get any semi while you can

As long as you know what's going to happen to it. 99%+ of the people who buy one of these things are not going to have the balls to keep it in defiance of the law, and are just going to be pissing money away when they inevitably surrender it.

Even if we do get a conservative government 10 plus years from now (God willing Canada still exists) will they really be interested in undoing and old policy that the average Canadian won't even care about? I understand Harper got rid of the LGR but that doesn't automatically mean a future conservative government will repeat. I have total faith PP would but something tells me we'll sadly have a different leader in 10 plus years.

Yes, if you stay on them. You are probably doing a lot of what I'm going to write but I'm saying this for everyone:

First try to win the next election. Go out and volunteer for the CPC. Knock on doors. Convince friends and family to vote for them. If the conservatives win then keep writing and meeting with your MP, stay on them, say that making that change is the best way for them to keep your vote.

If they lose and they change leadership then buy a membership and make it clear to leadership contestants that it's a big issue for you and vote for the ones that promise to follow through.

Change is hard but it is possible if we get involved and act. It's not possible if we wait and hope or if we give up.

Even if we do get a conservative government 10 plus years from now

I highly doubt it'll take that long.

I understand Harper got rid of the LGR but that doesn't automatically mean a future conservative government will repeat.

Well no, of course it doesn't mean that automatically. Nothing is literally guaranteed. Nobody can sit here and tell you what's going to happen with 100% certainty. But we're an important enough part of their base that I strongly believe that they will.

It will be banned. Looks extremely scary. Could jump up and kill someone.
