Buy recommendations Is this the best .22 option?

Hey, I am again having the itch to fill the gun safe abit more. Pure investment if you ask me to be fair.

As I cry seeing all my buds in the US with their ARs, I am looking at 22s. Is the TM22 the best price/quality option out there? To be fair im only going to use it for fun because ammo is dirt cheap. Any other choices I should consider?

Get the Pro model, it's aluminum at least.

Going to be honest, I love my TM22, but it's objectively a horrible gun. It's still probably the best tactical option we have.

Mine was having an absurd amount of failures to eject (1 every 4 rounds on average) and a couple light strikes. I managed to fix the issue by removing the left extractor, it runs fine now.

In the process of cleaning it, I stripped the threads off the handguard, breaking it, and having to install a helicoil. Not the end of the world, but it sucked.

Besides poor QC and low quality aluminum, having to clean it by removing the rail that holds the optic is just poor design. Having a POI shift after cleaning it is stupid.

I would recommend that people buy an AR-15 chambered in .22lr instead, but that's not an option.

I also own the 10/22 carbine and it's great in many ways, but the stock grip angle sucks, and finding a chassis that is the equivalent of the TM22 is impossible. The traditional stock drop also is not great for mounting an optic wirh a riser, you'll need the lowest mount option you can get, and even then it still feels too high.

Well damn, without any changes in legislation coming soon we are hopeless. The fact that a .22 is our only tactical/sporting option is sad. Regardless I will have a look at the local shop to see what they recommend too.
