Buy recommendations Watch my local gunsmith make 200$

This is the second time this happens (after 500 rounds and +115 rounds after that).

Because I re-screwed the picatinny rail screws and added blue loctite myself (which wasn't done from the factory), I've voided the warrant for this component according to Stoeger Canada. So basically I can't screw in my own loose screws without voiding warranty on the screws and threads.

I was gonna recommend all Beretta 1301 owners to loctite their thread when they buy their brand new shotgun, but I can't even properly recommend that.

I'll be honest brotha, I didn't torque it to a specific spec, I just made it not too tight, not too loose. But it wouldn't have mattered warranty wise because "Once a customer either removes / installs parts or does anything with any type of fastener or part on a firearm that leads to failure. The warranty on those parts is then voided."

Maybe if i had torqued it exactly to spec, it wouldn't have flown off the second time. Oh well, live and learn.

Is that actually in the warranty, or just some shit a rep told you, because if thats in the documents thats insane. Its a screw, not a complex piece of machinery. You might need to remove the rail to clean your firearm, this isn't some exotic disassembly. You should be able to disassemble a firearm to the bones and reassemble without issue

By that wording dissasembling your firearm to clean it, reassembling it, then experiencing a failure down the road could void your warranty. There ain't no way.

I agree. This is what a rep told me by email. But ill look at the fine print of the beretta warranty later this evening. Thanks for the advice 🙏

I just read their warranty and it says nothing about screws, so that is information they are witholding from the customer. Maybe the 1301 manual says different but the warranty sure doesn't.

I don't understand how disassembling a rail could be an unauthorized modification.
