Recurring Canadaguns Politics and Debate Thread

Please post all your Gun Politics or Ban-related ideas, questions, initiatives, comments, suggestions, news articles, and recommendations in this thread. This thread recurs every 14 days.

First and foremost, this is a Canadian Gun subreddit, so keep it at least decently related to both of those things.

This thread is not for general politics, there are plenty other subs that are meant for that. Off-topic threads may be removed, especially if they are leading to personal attacks, flame wars, etc.

To prevent the main sub being flooded with dozens of similar threads, text posts complaining about/asking about/chatting about gun politics will be sent here.

We understand that politics is a touchy subject, and at times things can get heated. A reminder of the subreddit rules, when commenting, where subreddit users are expected to abide.

Keep this Canadian gun politics related and polite. Off-topic stuff, flame wars, negative generalizations against groups, personal attacks and gate-keeping will be removed. Please flag any comments to bring to the attention of mods otherwise exercise your upvoting and downvoting ability.

Yeah after the Crypto, i am just gonna wait for an FRT before buying from them. Also that stock photo looks identical to the Crypto doesn’t it?

Even with frt they could still ban the damn thing they've done it before !

Yes ofc, an FRT does not protect from a ban, but my fear is a Crypto 2.0, where police straight up prohibited and it is not covered by the amnesty.

$2200??? At that point just buy two lever actions and make them look tacticool. Much more practical

Or the Carmel and Makasi at 2400

I can’t stand those tacticool lever actions. Just screams Australia

That's a inaccurate statement. Even in America people over there are after tacti cool lever actions because wood stock boring and a fudd gun choice while tacticool is hip with the kids. Now personally I like the look of wood more but from just a pragmatic sense I do like the black finish on something like say a Canuck wrangler blackout (I know Turk gun but it's actually pretty solid for the price.) I like trad leaver actions as much as the next guy but I am not going to hate on the tacticool leaver action.

I like the mix of wood and skeletonized furniture. Like the S&W 1854 with the m-lok handguard and og wood stock

We aren’t much better off than Australia at this point

What lever actions are you buying that are that cheap? Most of the big name ones are in the same price range now unfortunately.

You could get two Henry big boys or one big boy and the supreme for around the same price. Around $3000 when done.

Maybe used or if you get a deal. They've been creeping up in price
