First and foremost, this is a Canadian Gun subreddit, so keep it at least decently related to both of those things.

This thread is not for general politics, there are plenty other subs that are meant for that. Off-topic threads may be removed, especially if they are leading to personal attacks, flame wars, etc.

To prevent the main sub being flooded with dozens of similar threads, text posts complaining about/asking about/chatting about gun politics will be sent here.

We understand that politics is a touchy subject, and at times things can get heated. A reminder of the subreddit rules, when commenting, where subreddit users are expected to abide.

Keep this Canadian gun politics related and polite. Off-topic stuff, flame wars, negative generalizations against groups, personal attacks and gate-keeping will be removed. Please flag any comments to bring to the attention of mods otherwise exercise your upvoting and downvoting ability.

Impossible for me to legally buy a handgun as a licensed individual but a criminal can go and obtain whatever they want. Surly bans working as intended…

Sorry peon only criminals and the government (insert it's the same picture meme) are allowed those. And of course those who already had them because uh they're dangerous but also not at the same time. And in our hands they protect you but when in your hands they uh kill you. Now don't ask how those guns we have are used to protect corporations I mean you yes we would never send in people to kill you to attempt to steal your land for a golf course or anything else for that matter. Yes in our hands guns keep you safe and I guess brink truck drivers but don't question our logic on that. Yes it's to protect the brinks truck drivers definitely not the money. But no no peon when you carry it that far to dangerous you aren't in enough danger to justify it despite the fact we hold a contricatry claim. There is no war with Oceina. Elbows up.
