Buy recommendations Derya Pump 9mm
Looks like these are out now. 12 inch and 16 inch. I'd like to see one in person before I'd consider getting one. 9mm would be nice to plink with. I missed out on getting a 9mm. These are currently at SFRC.

Shout out to Turkey for keeping us going through these dark times.

u/Purple-Character8206 May 20 '26
Absolutely. At least it's something. I think the only other 9mm left is the Homesteader. And then they're bringing the Tombstone lever one in, but it's well over $2k.

u/Iokua_CDN May 20 '26
This vs the lo ger Tombstone lever for 2k, I'm buying the cheap pump every time. I think it'd less to go wrong on it too, levers can get fussy. Plus I find I'm quicker shooting a pump action. All that time blasting with a shotgun, a 9mm will be much faster and easier to shoot

100% and every video I watched of the tombstone it jams on everyone no thanks

u/No_Win_9797 May 20 '26
My thoughts exactly, and with the savings….thats almost 3k rounds of ammo you can send through it. (Gun/ammo math at work for this calculation)

u/-DirtyCanadian- May 20 '26
Don’t forget the DMA Stowaway
3
u/Purple-Character8206 May 20 '26
True. I'm a bit more interested in more than 1 shot at a time.
2
u/Iokua_CDN May 20 '26
I emailed them a while ago expressing an interest in a magazine fed version. Might never happen, but they did email back asking what caliber i would want if they did do one. So maybe it's in the works or at least on their mind

I’m worried that parts will be few and far between by this time next year due to disruptions in the gulf. Hope I’m wrong..

Even though I avoid Turkish stuff I was a bit intrigued by this when I first saw it posted here a bit ago. Figured it'd make for a fun little plinker, a range toy. But I was hoping for it to be in the $400 range. This is gonna be a hard pass for me.
2
u/Iokua_CDN May 20 '26
Hoping maybe the price drops. Black Friday sale perhaps, that gives them some time to sit in inventory

2
u/Scary-Detail-3206 May 20 '26
We’re so starved for any cool guns in this country we will never see $400 guns again.

u/HappyCan7250 May 20 '26
It's cool to have these show up, but I wish they had gone with a proprietary mag, since the Glock mags mean you're still capped at 10rd.
For 10rd of 9mm fun, I'd still take a Homesteader. Still half tempted to grab one of these since the pricing is reasonable and I bet they'll be in high demand for a while.
Still super cool to see the new options coming in lately.
By the way, for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, the IWI Carmel (5.56 semi auto) is also available on pre order now, so we'll have 2 tactical semi 223s showing up in the coming months, the Mk15 and Carmel.
Maybe things are looking up for us after all finally!

I’m hoping Derya can come through with a lever 9mm in this price range. It seems like they’re the glimmer of hope in these dark times.
3
u/Massive_Expression_2 May 20 '26
I bet they will. They already make a 22LR lever, so maybe going 9mm is not a big leap.
8
u/WavelengthMemes May 20 '26
I ordered one. Wish me luck.
2
u/Massive_Expression_2 May 20 '26
Good on ya! Looks like a fun gun. Does it come with any magazines?
1
u/TheSockington May 20 '26
I’m sure these won’t sell out instantly like the Makasi, so I’m kind of curious for your review when it arrives. I enjoy fun range guns

Where's the bolt action model? WHERE?!
3
u/Iokua_CDN May 20 '26
The bolt action 12 inch barrel actually looks pretty damn good
1
u/IceWide6245 May 20 '26
It would look even better with a cz trail style stock/grip like this, hopefully someone makes adapters

3
u/Iokua_CDN May 20 '26
As someone who enjoys silly things like the shortie 410 revolver shotgun, I'll likely buy one of these ugly things. Looks like a ton of fun. Absolutely needs a replacement rear stock though, straight grip? In this time and age?? Come on. This with a Monte Carlos style stock would be lovely

Sfrc website says 15+1, is that wrong? I thought they took glock mags?
1
u/4r4nd0mninj4 Jun 11 '26
Maybe they come with a proprietary full capacity mag and an optional Glock mag well adapter?🤷♂️
2
u/Ancient_Accountant49 May 20 '26
Why they just don’t give it the look of a Thompson, but call it a “ polycarbonate Thompson maple”
2
u/Tiny-Ear9080 May 20 '26
Why glock mags......make it proprietary and give us 30 rd stick mags if we're cucked on everything else now
3
u/Whispersfine May 20 '26
I’m not buying until someone figure out a plastic surgery plan for this ugly chick.
2
u/Flat-Dark-Earth Big Bore Specialist May 20 '26
Homesteader is still available. Why would anyone buy this over that? The price is negligible.
3
u/Murray3-Dvideos May 20 '26
Its a betting game.... 1200 that the Homesteader gets banned within the year. Vs 730 that the pump gun may be banned within the decade. I can afford the latter odds.
2
u/RadiantCoast6147 May 20 '26
$750 for a pump 9MM
save your pennie’s an invest in something better and nicer

If they made a clone of the timber wolf, that’d be the bee’s knees
Kinda dig it, but would prefer a tube magazine

u/Remarkable_Vanilla34 May 20 '26
I wish someone would make a pump action 9mm with AR features. Like FX9 pump action.
2
u/PteSoupSandwich The 10/22 Dude May 20 '26
Check out the Schmeisser PSR-9 👍
1
u/Remarkable_Vanilla34 May 20 '26
It will be cool if it lands here.
2
u/Acceptable_Visit_115 May 20 '26
Amchar posted about them on instagram a couple months back, saying they are NR and 10.5" barrel.
Seems expensive though.

SFRC. Worst pricing in Canada.
2
u/HackDartBreakHeart May 23 '26
And the worst warranty support. 7 months since I mailed my shotgun to them.

Why not just buy a homesteader for basically the same price? 🤷♂️
3
u/Q-Ball7 In the end, it's taxes all the way down May 20 '26
And now you know why nobody develops manual-action 9mm rifles.

u/Iokua_CDN May 20 '26
Easy. I want a 12 Inch barrel plinker for having fun.
A compact size gun is tons of fun. So are semi autos of course, but often I'd rather have a small compact gun.
I have an sks and it's great, but I also bought a cz trail. 16 inch barrel and a folding stock make it so so compact and great compared to my big long sks.
2
u/Massive_Expression_2 May 20 '26
$1300 for the Henry so nearly double the price of Derya. Plus the fear of Henry bring banned cuz it's semi-auto?
2
u/HappyCan7250 May 20 '26
That's basically what I was thinking. I kinda like the look of these, but they should've gone for a collapsible or folding stock vs the long fixed one (if OAL laws would allow?)
But considering this thing takes Glock mags, that sort of took the one appeal I might've had for it, since it'll still be limited to 10rd, so why not just go for the 10rd Glock magged Homestead instead? Still cool to see the new options coming in, I'm still glad to see it finally, and I think it'll sell fast and do well, but they maybe should've done a proprietary mag, as the appeal of the 9mm pump would be unlimited mag capacity as a manual action.
2
u/Iokua_CDN May 20 '26
Sadly no on the collapsing stock, unless it was a 16 inch barrel. 16 inch barrel guns usually are above the 26 inch overall length with a folding stock. The 12 inchers need the fixed stock to stay above that.
Begs the question though, fix stock twelve vs folding stock 16. The 12 inch will be more compact when shooting, but the 16 will fold up smaller and maybe get better velocity from the longer barrel

u/Vikare_ May 20 '26
600$ more is the same price?
3
u/Iokua_CDN May 20 '26
To be fair, it wasn't too long ago the homesteader was on dale for 1k. Now though I'm seeing them for 1200 as the cheapest. So $500 bucks cheaper for the pump
2
u/Vikare_ May 20 '26
Would have been great to buy one for 1k. Damn.
2
u/Murray3-Dvideos May 20 '26
Have you handled one? I did before the 2024 OIC and it was pretty lackluster even for 1000 compared to its competition. The Henry belongs at basic Ruger PCC 9 prices.
2
u/Vikare_ May 20 '26
I haven't actually. I feel like it's really hard to justify spending 1200 on one. My local gun club doesn't really do much 2/3 gun anymore either so it would be a questionable buy. I think one town over they do steel challenge so might be able to use it for that.
I actually really like my Ruger PCC.. seems some people here don't like it. Yea, it's super basic and isn't as nice as some of the ar 9 variants. But it works (worked) at a great price.

u/Iokua_CDN May 20 '26
Maybe black friday this year they will go down! I find sales do repeat themselves
