Application / Regulation advice Status of Buyback

Anyone know what the current status of the buyback is? While I oppose it in principle, I bought a Springfield M1A for pure novelty and jumped at the chance to get virtually all of my money back for it. I went through the application process and now, crickets...

Meh, it's only upside for me. The rifle is wildly impractical for my purposes and it's now illegal to use regardless. I paid about $2,500 for it and the schedule says they will pay $2,350. If I end up getting the money, I basically get completely reimbursed for a dumb purchase. If I don't I'm no worse off and I wasn't going to use it anyway. Either way I'm not going to get caught up in the toxic nonsense displayed by so many people here.

What toxic nonsense? Resisting the many tyrannical policies of the government?

Ah, yes of course... The "tyranny" of taking away your right to play GI Joe on weekends with your AR.

The tyranny of being made a criminal overnight for following the laws. Then being lied to for years about compensation just to get nothing.

Take poly's fist out of your ass and maybe you can think straight.

I'm not happy about it but at the end of the day I can either stew in my own juices with you and this crowd or I can get reimbursed for a purchase I didn't really need.
