Try shooting the CZ trail mad minute style. Run the bolt, keep your hand on it, and actuate the trigger with your middle finger.
I find it easier to maintain my target that way since I find I don't have to break my aim and I can keep my eye down the scope. I keep the trigger on the lightest setting (1.5lb) and have no problems running Mozambique drills this way.
Also works exceptionally well with a canted red dot.

Faster follow up shots can help with human kills when the first one doesn't do the job. Semi auto can be preferred for predator and varmint control as well as feral species like pigs. I would also prefer a semi-auto for animal defence.

why would you suggest that owning a semiautomatic weapon is a need for a pal owner for the purpose of helping with human kills?

additionally if you’re first shot is unsuccessful then take a hunting and shooting course and study bullet design

And you should study mammal biology, because adrenaline is one hell of a drug even if you aim for vitals. Doesn't matter if it walks on 4 legs or 2.
Also, I think you should further study bullet design yourself. It's not uncommon for soft/hollow points to not perform as expected due to a failure of expansion or insufficient weight retention of the bullet for 2 common examples. Which will then necessitate a 2nd or even 3rd shot which can be problematic on it's own since many rifles geared for hunting are only truly accurate for the first shot. The key to success is training for failure.
Lastly, I'm pretty sure the parent comment meant humane kills. If I were you, I wouldn't be bragging about IQ if I couldn't spot obvious auto-correct errors.
