SK and AB broke the (liberal) mold for appointing CFOs and actually appointed someone who is somewhat pro firearms to the position. Where as it’s been nearly a universal rule for decades that the role was normally held by someone who was an anti
I know we like to shit on Ontario (rightfully so), but our current CFO actually seems pretty chill? They were very reasonable with my friend’s medical stuff, and we also saw them approve the revolver 22lr a few days ago, even though logically there’s no discipline where that makes sense.
This won’t happen in Ontario because the OCFO has stated their position is that we can’t advertise to rent a pistol (but you can still do it if you find a “friend”), but they’re not as antigun as we all try to make them out to be.

If someone can do it in AB, not sure why they wouldn’t be able to do it in ON…unless it’s up to the provincial CFO maybe?
