Can you actually get this exemption if you don't already own a handgun? Because how else can you compete in a shooting competition with a handgun now if you don't already have one?
Or can it be any kind of Olympic-style shooting competition just to prove that you do compete? I do a lot of clay shooting any my club holds skeet competitions, so this is potentially one avenue for me.
