Milsurps / Prohib "Surplus" pricing has gone wild

Ive never been one to complain about prices but some people are asking the moon for grandpa's old hardware lol

I have a theory that this is primarily driven by old guys whose wives are nagging them to “sell some of that junk you don’t even use” and so they just list it for sale with completely unreasonable prices.

If it sells for 3x what it’s worth, then they’re fine with that. If it (more likely) doesn’t sell, they get to tell their wives “I listed it, but nobody was buying” and then keep it. Same goes for guys at gun shows who are completely out to lunch on prices. For them, I think it’s socializing and getting their wives off their backs.

The “old guy” sell off imho is likely true.  In that we’re entering a generational shift.  The oldest boomers are now entering the die off phase, while the middle cohort is firmly in the down size phase.

All made worse (for buyers) due to the thieving Liberal gun grab
