Recurring Canadaguns Politics and Debate Thread

Please post all your Gun Politics or Ban-related ideas, questions, initiatives, comments, suggestions, news articles, and recommendations in this thread. This thread recurs every 14 days.

First and foremost, this is a Canadian Gun subreddit, so keep it at least decently related to both of those things.

This thread is not for general politics, there are plenty other subs that are meant for that. Off-topic threads may be removed, especially if they are leading to personal attacks, flame wars, etc.

To prevent the main sub being flooded with dozens of similar threads, text posts complaining about/asking about/chatting about gun politics will be sent here.

We understand that politics is a touchy subject, and at times things can get heated. A reminder of the subreddit rules, when commenting, where subreddit users are expected to abide.

Keep this Canadian gun politics related and polite. Off-topic stuff, flame wars, negative generalizations against groups, personal attacks and gate-keeping will be removed. Please flag any comments to bring to the attention of mods otherwise exercise your upvoting and downvoting ability.

Same. Just got a bunch of cross mags for it when it gets here along with all the other things to build it the way I want it

But won’t it end up being banned?

For how much some of these one time range trips before banned cost, i could a rent a nice friend or two for the whole weekend.

And she'd at least tell me I was a good boy.

That is a wise point.

Backland Hunter has been on the market for several months now without being banned.

The Alcor has been around for nearly a year or so now without being banned.

SKS still isn't banned

AD500 has been around for a year without being banned.

Homesteader still never got banned

I may be being optimistic, but I think the liberals know they're screwed on this file, and don't want to pour more gas on the fire. I think they're quietly just hoping the whole thing will go away, adding more guns would only complicate things for them at this point.

Besides, we all know they aren't collecting jack shit, so buy the Mk15 while you can, it'll be yours forever!

Since it's being marketed as a FAL/AR derivative, I think there's approximately 0.001% chance it doesn't get banned. They're just waiting for enough people to drop 3 grand on them before they ban it. It's literally part of their playbook, they've said it out loud.

The whole "it was always banned, you shouldn't have bought it" is all queued up Im sure.
