Fix my gun And the right extractor on my TM22 kicked the bucket.
In total around around 2500 rounds. Both extractors broke off at the same place, left one first about a month ago , then the right one. I did otherwise like the TM22, it was reliable until it wasn't.
To me it looks like the extractors has a weak point right at the extractor pin as both of them broke off almost identically there.
I wonder if anyone else with newer manufactured TMs has had similar extractor issues or I am just unlucky.

I’m a little nervous now. Mines at about 1200 rounds 😅

Maybe mine was just a defect, or the ammo i mainly used was shit (CCI blazers).

I honestly didnt have any issues leading up to the extractor’s breaking. On the right one it jammed with a failure to eject as the extractor had broken off. The casing was mangled up. Similar had happened to the left about a month ago. I clean them after every range day.

Time to get a magnifier lens and give that part a close hard look next time you're stripping and cleaning.

I put 1500 rounds through my Ruger in like 3 sessions. I hope my brand new TM22 12” will last 😐

The extractors are both the same so if you remove the left one and break the right it should swap in. Also SFRC has TM22 parts on their website and new extractors. Just a heads up for everyone!

Unfortunately for me the left one broke first. I will see whats the warranty like before buying the extractors from sfrc.

Ya I hear you. Not sure who’s doing warranty work right now as O’dell is not working with derya anymore for warranty work. Haven’t heard of the new warranty dealer yet so not sure. Extractors are cheap enough I’d pick up 1-2 anyway just in case

North Sylva is now the official distributor for Derya firearms and accessories in Canada. Warranty & repairs center for Derya is SFRC.

My 10-22 has likely seen 15000-20000 rounds without an issue. Why are people still buying Turkish Malfunctions

I have a 10/22 but just don’t like the feel and the style. I preferred shooting the tm22 over the “rugger”.

I don't have enough money to waste it on things that don't work or don't last

I agree, I also don't have money to play around with especially when it comes to firearms.

Ruger does have a new (I think) 10/22 SBR, I wonder if it will hit the market here. Maybe not quite as 'cool' looking at some other offerings but nice nonetheless. https://www.ruger.com/products/1022sbr/models.html

There is also the limit of 10rounds unless using an adapter. While the tm22 easily gets you a 25 round banana.
