Drives me nuts! Functionally identical to a ruger 10-22, except the GSGs jam and light strike much more lol.

All depends on the ammo, high velocity tends to work best in the gsgs.

Any semi auto really. Lapua’s sub 1200 fps “semiauto” specific ran worse than federal champion and stangers.

Have you tried that adapter in a TM-22 yet? My 10/22 variant worked great but loading it was a nightmare.

Yep had it over a year and it works.
Was finicky to set up and get it going but after it was set up and running properly I've had no issues with it.

Rimfire has much less energy. Obviously it can still be deadly, but the law treats it as less dangerous. And to be fair, it is much less dangerous. Still a firearm that can be deadly, but less so.

I actually said this to Derya recently, they're on this reddit from time to time so I threw the idea out there.
They did actually answer and said they are working on a 22wmr rifle, but wouldn't say much more other than saying a 22wmr semi auto is difficult to make. I sort of anticipate the 22mag model to be a pump action or bolt gun maybe, but they are making something in 22wmr. I am rooting for a 22mag TM22 one day too, comparable energy to a 9mm, semi auto, and no mag limits? Theyd sell like crazy.
There are still some CZ512 Tactical models floating around used, which are pretty cool tactical style 22mag semi auto rifles, but I believe are discontinued. They still pop up used sometimes though.

If they make a pump or bolt I’ll just end up getting a lever 22 wmr. Savage makes the a22 in a .22wmr version as well, I’ve been looking to find one for probably 8 months now with no luck.
I’m surprised a push for a semi .22wmr isn’t larger as we could have even a 25 round mag for it.

It is a cost and availability issue. 22wmr is significantly more costly than 22lr. (like 8x more)

That's why I've always ended up selling my 22mag rifles. I keep getting tempted by a 17hmr but then figure "well, I could be shooting 223 instead for just a little bit more", and it's just one more caliber to stockpile unfortunately.
A tactical style 22mag semi auto though I would definitely still buy, just in a bolt gun I don't find 22mag has a huge place to fill when 22lr is much cheaper, and 223 can be used for only a bit more.
I pay around $20-$25/50rd of 22mag, or could just buy 40rd of 223 for around $25. Not much savings there unfortunately.
But I'd still buy a semi auto 22mag just to get around the magazine caps.

Yes, you can swap out the stock and pistol grip with anything marketed for an AR. There are two main styles of buffer tube (aka receiver extension) Milspec and Commercial. Milspec is more common/preferred but Derya uses a Commerical tube. If you want to use a Milspec stock you'll need to replace the buffer tube first, which involves filing the end plate a little to accommodate it (or getting a 3D printed version). Alternatively, if you want to slim out the stock the entire cheek riser assembly can be removed which makes a big difference. Edit: I only have experience with the aluminum reciever model and that's the only one I'd recommend. So I'm not sure if my advice above refers to the polymer version.

For commercial spec tubes you can just use an airsoft stock. It's only a .22 after all

If I remember right, the polymer model the buffer tube is molded into the stock and non swappable, and it too used a commercial sized tube which kinda sucks, far fewer options available.
I do really like the new Pro stocks though. Got a 16" Pro right when they showed up, and was tempted to grab a 12" now, but I actually sort of prefer the 16" look.

I’ve swapped the stock off of my feather model.
You’ll need a commercial spec stock or you may get lucky with an airsoft stock.
I put an airsoft stock on mine and it works fine.

It’s a pretty good grouse gun. I have had mine for a while now, have a red dot on it, and it’s snagged a few dozen meals for the campfire cookout.

Honestly another really good option for a .22 right now is the new Ruger 10/22. Upgraded stock, BX trigger comes factory, threaded barrel, new charging handle and receiver, rings and a scope, with a Ruger hard cover carry case for $500.

I bought an RF-224 before the winter for the indoor range and got it working 100%. I put a LPVO on it and it was very good for 50 m. yesterday.
Having said that, I have an 18" Compact that is better across the spectrum (build, finish, features, known mag ecosystem) and should have waited and spent a little more.
Both are imported through North Sylva so no advantage there.

Too many people complain about rule 6. They don't understand that we are beholden to reddit rules.
Thank you for sharing this. Rule 6 is designed for your own good. This post was auto approved (so no mod approved it manually). If OP gets banned by reddit he's basically at the mercy of site admins. People shouldn't post anything that looks like an advertisement, with prices, buy now, etc. They put their account at risk.
edit: having said that you could always try an appeal to site admins. We can pray that that'll work.

Also, TECHNICALLY, what you're doing is ban evasion, and while we personally won't take enforcement action, that won't stop Reddit admins from banning your new account, so be mindful of that.

I've been watching the stock count at FOC go down and down on these over the last few hours. I'm guessing a lot of guys on here are buying them
I really just wish they had a different handguard. I was all ready for buy the 12" but I wish the handguard was a couple inches longer. I almost think the 16" with a reverse can looks better.
Too bad they could use a roughly 8-10" long styled like that Flash model, instead of that round 6" handguard.

You can change the stock on all of them except the Feather and the Flash. Those two are polymer and one piece. The others use a ComSpec tube. You can use MilSpec but you will need to make the hole for tube slightly bigger. The threads fit.

I recently won the Grey one (with a cheap red dot) and just spent a day on the range with it, the 25rd looks ridiculous but its alot of fun to shoot.
I have other 22s but I really enjoy the layout and handling of this for the price point.

There is no reason to buy these rifles when you can buy a Rugger 10/22 with many options for aftermarket stocks and mag adapters. Deryas are junk. My buddy had to replace all the bolts including the charging handle that fell off. My other buddy hates it because it jams alot under rapid fire even with CCI ammo. Im so tired of seeing the hype around these guns just because they look cool. Internally they are fucking junk and if you hype these rifles you dont know shit about shooting or guns in general

I have been at the range when guys come in with these, the guns are very flexible about where they send the bullets. The spread pattern is pretty scary and they jam a lot.
But they look cool
